Brian is a graduate of MIT, where he became a Christian. After university, Brian ran his own IT consulting firm in Montreal, serving such clients as Air Canada, Bombardier, and ALDO. In 2001, he chose to pursue God’s call to ministry, passing over scholarships to the Wharton MBA program and Stanford Law School (among others). From 2003 to 2008, Brian helped plant New City Church in South Philadelphia while completing his Master of Divinity at the Westminster Theological Seminary. He is an ordained minister and an approved church-planter of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
Since his move to Toronto in 2011, Brian has become a proud Torontonian. His conversion from the Habs to the Leafs was easier than expected. He enjoys movies and TV shows like Dr. House and Grey’s Anatomy. For music, he can tolerate Lady Gaga, but prefers Bach. He devours the Toronto Star and the Toronto Life. Places he loves include the TIFF LightBox, High Park, Toronto Island, and the Harbourfront. Brian and his wife Ming have two lovely children: Annette (10) and Iain (8).
Matthew graduated from Tyndale Seminary with a Master of Divinity concentrating on Global Mission and Intercultural Studies. He makes it a point to befriend international students from other countries, helping them with their English, and helping them find faith. During his undergrad Matt studied sacred music at Canada Christian College. He is a gifted singer/songwriter who loves to see people worship God with all their hearts. Matt also enjoys singing at weddings and various events in the community accompanied by his lovely wife Farah on keys or percussion.
When Matt is not engaged in the ministry, he enjoys fishing with his dad, date nights with Farah and playing with his daughter Kaitlyn and the family dog Huey.
